The NICS 2007 career guidance fair was held from September 1st - 2nd, 2007, aimed at students and teachers and those in the non-ICT private sector. Students were invited from schools around the country with the assistance of the Ministry of Education. 

The fair covered all the paths that are available to a new entrant to the ICT industry, from management, technical and BPO/KPO careers. Participants were able to find out about skills required for each kind of career, They were then able to identify courses that would prepare them for such a career. This customised counselling was provided by industry personnel hand in hand with career counsellors from the Ministry of Education.  

Over 5,000 students attended the fair and approx 1,500 filled out applications with their contact details, showing that the event had generated a significant level of interest for them in IT as a career.
